The Words
For our entire life…
The person we spend the most time with…
Is ourselves.
And yet we take for granted…
Or give little thought to…
The way we talk to ourselves.
What we say…
The words we use…
We think they don’t matter…
Simply because we say them in our own head…
But these words make all the difference…
Our internal dialogue…
When we speak to ourselves…
Affects everything else in our lives…
If we constantly tell ourselves that we can’t do something…
Or that we aren’t good enough…
Then we are speaking that into existence.
- “I can never improve my health”
- “I’ll never be able to do what I love”
- “I’m not smart enough to learn something new”
On the other hand…
If we empower ourselves…
Through our words…
Then they can become our greatest ally.
- “I’m not there yet, but I’m further along than where I was”
- “If I make one positive step every day, I’ll get there”
- “If someone has done it before, then I can do it”
