Pivoting vs Quitting

We start something for a while…

And then quit…

Sound familiar?

This is the pattern so many of us fall into…

When we are working on getting healthy.

But instead of stopping and starting again…

We can try Pivoting to something new.

Pivoting is continuing to move forward…

But on a different path…

Or by different means.

Here are some instances when pivoting might be useful:

  • Injuries — we might need to scale back on what we’re doing or switch up a routine to accommodate our routine while we heal.
  • Utility — is there a more efficient way to get us to our goal?
  • Priorities — our health & fitness goals will change over time. Pivoting allows us to realign with where we want to go.
  • Something New — pivoting also allows us to try new activities that we may not have considered before starting this journey.

So the next time…

You feel bogged down in your progress…

Or It doesn’t feel like the right time to continue on…

And you want to quit…

See if you can pivot to something more enjoyable instead.

And Remember to Trust the Process & Love the Progress.
