In 2024…

We are building an active life…

So to do that…

We’re moving away from diets…

And focusing on nourishment and daily processes.

Here are a few simple ways to work healthy eating into your routine:

  • Protein — aim for 1 gram of protein/lb. of body weight. Easy/healthy sources of protein include chicken, salmon, eggs, yogurt, and beans. To help hit your goal, try to include at least 15–20 grams of protein with each meal.
  • Rainbow Plates — an array of colors, including veggies and complex carbs, usually means a nutritious meal. An example of this could be salmon with asparagus and sweet potatoes.
  • Water — Set a target and work your way up to 75 oz. per day. An easy to get a jump on this is to drink a big glass in the morning before your coffee. Once you’re comfortable at 75oz., aim for between 80 oz. — 100 oz. daily.
  • Eat Your Sugar — You heard me. Eat your sugar instead of drinking it. Go for fruit over fruit drinks. My personal favorites are plums and blueberries + bananas (usually in a smoothie). No one ever worked up to obesity by eating a handful of fruit everyday.

This doesn’t mean we have to banish all the unhealthy foods we enjoy…

We can still enjoy them in moderation…

This is simply a checklist of what we need to incorporate…

So we can hit all our fitness goals.

Remember to Trust the Process and Love the Progress.
