Emotional Health
The three pillars of health I concentrate on…
Are physical, mental, and emotional health.
As we age…
And as much as we work against it…
Our physical and mental health will eventually begin to decline.
We can build up resistance to this while we’re younger…
And we can slow the decline…
But we can never fully stop it.
However…
When it comes to our emotional health…
We can grow and improve that no matter how old we are…
The sky is the limit.
Our emotional health can be much better at 75…
Then it was at 35.
Here are some aspects of emotional health to consider:
- Relationships — how strong are our relationships with friends and family? Are we putting in the effort to keep in touch?
- Self-Awareness — are we in tune with our emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and actions? Are we doing a deep dive on our motivations?
- Balance — do we have a sense of balance with everything we’re doing?
- Resilience — are we building resilience to help deal with the difficult situations life throws at us?
As we continue to work on all aspects of our health…
Take solace in knowing that emotional health…
Is something that we can always strengthen…
No matter where we are in life.
